About
For generations, Kimchee brought Korean communities together; men, women, old and young. As a traditional form of matriarchal customs, elders would give and bequeath generational-old wisdoms of kimchee to daughters.
“In a Korean household, we take kimchee very seriously. Kimchee is our identity and staple diet. We have relied on kimchee to sustain our lives and culture. It’s etched into our identity. Without it, Korean cuisine & culture simply wouldn’t exist. Like all cultures, our history is hugely defined in our food and palates.”

Kimchee Jeanius Founder
As a first generation Korean-American, I’ve always longed to reconnect with my own Korean heritage through my mother. My family’s stories were seldom told. However, encouraged when I would make kimchee with my mother. Similarly, the same happens when I share my kimchee with family and friends. And most recently, patrons. The more I shared my kimchee, the more I felt connected with people. Kimchee isn’t just a product we sell, it’s the way we connect with our community.
